License Reinstatement Fight Your Ticket

License Reinstatement Attorney in New York

Born & Raised in NYC. Over a Decade Keeping Drivers on the Road.

If your license has been suspended or revoked, getting it back involves more steps than most drivers expect. We handle license reinstatement for drivers across all five boroughs of New York City, untangling the outstanding tickets, unpaid fees, and court requirements that stand between you and a valid license. This isn’t a side service for us. It’s part of the daily work we do in the Traffic Violations Bureau (TVB) and New York City’s traffic courts.

Before you can move forward, it’s worth understanding where you stand. A suspension is a temporary loss of driving privileges. A revocation cancels the license entirely and requires re-application after the revocation period ends. Each follows a different reinstatement path, and both start with identifying every outstanding obligation on your record.

Call us to schedule a free consultation. Attorney Kim Juszczak can review your situation, explain what reinstatement requires, and walk you through your options. Reach us at (516) 289-9804.

Why New York Drivers Work with Traffic Court Pro PLLC

Kim Juszczak is New York City born and raised, and her practice has stayed focused on keeping NYC drivers on the road for more than a decade. That means relationships built over thousands of cases with police officers and judges across all five boroughs, and a working knowledge of how TVB procedures differ from borough to borough. When you need information to move a reinstatement forward, those connections matter.

When you work with us, you communicate directly with Kim, not with a paralegal or an intake coordinator. She reviews your driving abstract, explains what each suspension requires, and stays in contact through every stage of the process. Pricing is discussed during your free consultation and depends on the complexity and number of issues on your record. No surprises.

Driving Options While Your Reinstatement Is Pending

Many drivers facing a suspension still need to get to work, medical appointments, or school. Two limited-use options may be available depending on your situation.

Restricted Use License
A restricted use license permits driving for specific purposes: commuting to work, attending school, keeping medical appointments, and childcare. It doesn’t restore full driving privileges, but it keeps essential trips legal while the underlying suspension is resolved.

Conditional License
A conditional license is typically available to drivers who enroll in the Impaired Driver Program (IDP) following a DWI-related suspension or revocation. It allows driving for defined purposes during the revocation period. Violating the terms of either a restricted or conditional license is a criminal offense and can result in the total loss of driving privileges.

The Criminal Risk of Driving While Suspended

Driving on a suspended license in New York is aggravated unlicensed operation (AUO), a criminal charge, not a traffic violation. At the third-degree level, a first offense carries fines from $200 to $500 and up to 30 days in jail under VTL section 511. Penalties escalate significantly for repeat offenses or if prior suspensions are on the record.

An AUO charge doesn’t just add a new problem. It can extend the original suspension period and create additional barriers that can make reinstatement harder to achieve. If your license is currently suspended, resolving it through proper channels is the only path that doesn’t carry criminal exposure.
